After some planning in 2005 the National Bank Otahuhu Branch became very interested in being associated with the Gateway concept.

Students have been placed in areas of responsibility; handling cash and dealing with customers and bank accounts, and all tasks associated with this industry.

The National Bank feel so strongly about the partnership that has been formed through Gateway that they are using Otahuhu College as the first Secondary School to offer school banking, with students from the school being used as tellers and taking responsibility for running each session.
